Resupply Strategy

I’m pleasantly surprised at the idea that a few of you have talked about sending care packages out while I’ll be hiking! Thank you in advance! I’ve updated this page a little to help facilitate the process and answer a few questions I keep hearing. This list may change slightly as the ADZPCTKO gets closer and could change in the event of a fire closure. So please check back BEFORE sending any packages. In an effort to make it easy to receive your packages this is how to label them:

Also worth noting, sending a little early (2 weeks) will ensure your packages will arrive before I do. Another great question I hear is “I don’t want to send anything that isn’t useful, can I send food?” and the answer is YES! Any kind of food would be amazing! Any amount is good also because I will be in places with limited food supplies, limited variety, expensive or no food at all. Think back to grade school, were you the kid with awesome home lunches or the kid with out? Either way you remember the bargaining power awesome lunches provided.

If you are compelled to send a goofy hat, sunglasses, shirt or what ever, I’ll wear it and upload a photo of your gift in some amazing place.

Acceptable items include: small squirt guns, pinwheels, goofy glasses, printed banners, fake poo, fart spray (pretty much anything child like humor or pranks), gum, your business logo shirt, or what ever. I once heard a story of a guy getting a stuffed animal with instructions to carry to the top of some pass. He did. But back home somewhere the photo of the hiker with the stuffed animal was some how used as black mail against a third party. So be creative and participate.
